Dion continued, “You were my biggest supporter, my partner, and the one who always saw the best in me. I respect you and will miss you forever, mon amour… We love you.”
In the photo, Dion and her family sat on a red couch, while she wore a white sweater and matching pants. She was joined by her three children, René-Charles, 23, and 18-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy, all dressed in white. “Your love is so beautiful and pure that I believe true love exists and that it survives death,” one person wrote.
“Your courage has always been an inspiration to everyone. You have been able to successfully raise your children. René would be proud of you!” added another commenter.
Dion and Angélil married in 1994, three years after their engagement. Since her husband’s death, the “I’m Alive” singer has continued to honor him. In December, she shared a sweet photo on Instagram from their wedding day as they celebrated their anniversary. “You still fill our hearts, every day. You are everything to us. I miss you so much,” she wrote in the caption. “Happy 30th anniversary, mon amour!”

In a June 2024 interview with People, she said that she still holds her husband’s memory close to her after being diagnosed with rigid personality syndrome. “I’m still married to René. He’s still my husband. When we have to travel for treatments, to see my doctors, I always bring pictures of him,” she said. “And of course, there are pictures of him everywhere in our house.”
